Help your people arrive, settle and stay in Canada
When you move staff to Canada, they are not just starting a new job, they are adapting to a new life, often in a remote location and an unfamiliar climate. How well that lands decides whether they stay. Good integration lifts retention, performance, wellbeing and productivity. A difficult arrival does the opposite, and replacing a specialist mid-project is expensive.
Through our partnership with IVEY Group, a licensed Canadian immigration and integration firm, Lincoln Strategic clients can hand the whole arrival and settling-in process to a single partner, so a new employee can focus on the job from day one.
What it covers
IVEY manage the transition from start to finish, in three stages, for the employee and for their family:
- Before arrival — cultural coaching and preparation (Canadian taxes, the school system, workplace safety, dressing for the seasons), all travel and visas arranged, and temporary accommodation secured so people know where they are going.
- On arrival — met at the airport, and set up within the first day with a Canadian Social Insurance Number, bank account, credit card, phone plan and provincial health card, plus help buying seasonal work wear and finding food and shops nearby.
- After arrival — semi-permanent accommodation secured and utilities set up, help obtaining a driver’s licence, and a support line for the first 30 days for any question that comes up.
How it works
The service takes the intimidating logistics of moving to a new country off your employee’s plate, and off yours. IVEY’s consultants handle the practical set-up so your people can settle into the role immediately and feel at home in their community. That’s what keeps them on site for the length of the project.
You can take integration on its own, for staff who already hold the right to work in Canada, or combine it with IVEY’s immigration service for a single end-to-end move.
Also available
Integration assumes your people already have, or are securing, the right to work in Canada. Our Immigration into Canada service covers work permits, transfers, permanent residency and citizenship, and can run ahead of or alongside this one.
